Technically, a YouTube Channel is just another name for the home page of your YouTube account. It displays your account name and lists the videos you’ve uploaded. Once you’ve created a YouTube account you can customize your home page/Channel with custom backgrounds, layouts and features. In addition to videos you’ve uploaded, you can also display favorite videos from other users, activity streams, comments, subscribers, and other social networking features.
