The Client: Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Funders
Project Description: Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Funders is a broad national network of grantmakers that works to foster communication, shared learning and information exchange about issues connected to sustainable agriculture and food systems. When the organization launched its first website less than a decade ago, Online Architecture was part of the project, taking a concept developed by a local marketing firm and bringing it to life. In early 2009, SAFSF approached Online Architecture about relaunching the site with a newer, fresher design.
After several conference calls and a series of e-mail correspondence with the coordinator of the California-based organization, Online Architecture produced a trio of design concepts. Once a final design was agreed upon and minor edits were made, Online Architecture staff began assembling imagery that complemented the design and themes running throughout the site. Content from the current site was carried over into the new design, and new content supplied by SAFSF was added to the developing architecture. In mid-2009 the new design was launched, equipped with Google Analytics for tracking purposes.
Online Architecture also researched and selected a third-party email list service that SAFSF has successfully used over the last four-plus years to communicate with its network of supporters.
