LITTLE CITIES OF BLACK DIAMONDS
Little Cities of Black Diamonds (LCBD) used its MIRA funds to build on an already existing idea of promoting the LCBD region. Through events, tours and educational projects highlighting historical, cultural, civic and environmental assets, the team members hope to bring more people to the region.
At first, the LCBD team was not technology - oriented. MIRA forced them to think about
and use available technology. Now everybody is connected through email making it easier to communicate ideas and build a stronger plan of action.
This team continues to meet and plan ways to promote the LCBD region's historical heritage. With one of the original team members having been elected to the Corning Village Council, the team plans to enjoy more collaboration from the local government.
