MORA

The Mora MIRA team decided to expand the town's one credit union used mainly by migrant workers. They originally planned to purchase a portable credit union with office space for the one paid credit union employee, who currently works out of her house.

Partnerships

The team's mission has taken a new turn as a local and larger credit union has donated a building and land for the new credit union. The Self Development of People Program of the local Presbyterian Church donated enough money for the MORA team to hire a part-time employee to add to the staff of one.

Leadership

The original MIRA team no longer meets, but their consensus approach to the MIRA project allowed flexibility in their plan that led to a new building, leveraged funds and an expanded staff.
