Cluster partners for this team included five statewide organizations: Black Community Crusade for Children, Mississippi Devolution Partnership, Mississippi Low Income Child Care Initiative, the Mississippi Association of Community Development Corporations and Political Education and Economic Development Foundation. The objectives of the project were:
- To develop and maintain Internet presence for a cluster of five organizations
- To help improve internal communications among the organizations
- To help to inform policymakers and advocates on issues related to organizations interest areas, and
- To mobilize citizen involvement in policymaking especially in the rural community.
The cluster team was involved in helping to develop the web site issue areas, the type of information posted, and what links should be available to policymakers. The Team also designed the structure for statewide community forums with at least one to be conducted in each Congressional district.
The cluster team began work on creating an e-scrapbook for the project but did not have the funding to complete the work.
After several months the web site was dismantled to be restructured, but project funding was depleted before the redesign work was finished. Team members met to discuss other possible funding sources that would support this ongoing work.

This MIRA team was a collaboration of organizations and their member organizations.
Leadership
The team selected a chairperson, Beneta Burt of the Mississippi Community Development Corporation Association. Though the team experienced many developmental challenges, the team members still consider the project a success. Perhaps the team members' many years of administrative experience and dealing with creating and implementing projects led to the success of this project.
