The team's mission became learning about, conducting and utilizing a geographic information system (GIS) survey of the Conejos County. This survey was to include visiting each residence for a physical and social inventory.

Team members attended a GIS survey class and purchased equipment needed to conduct a GIS survey with their MIRA money.

Even though the survey has been partially completed, the MIRA project is at a standstill. A vital team member's death, no collaboration with the county (which is also doing a GIS survey) and the difficulty of finding people home for the physical and social inventory have all contributed to the project's unfinished status.

Leadership

During his first experience as a committee leader, Felix Lopez, the Concilio Team leader and also the Steering Committee Chair, learned what it was like to be a leader at the committee level. He made sure that the team's leadership style emphasized contributions from everyone.
