Valley Flakes Team
The Valley Flakes project of using Adams State College and local high school students to collect and recondition used computers for area libraries, senior centers and nonprofit groups is complete.
Partnerships
This MIRA team was able to leverage about $60,000 from HUD for a virtual business incubator and funding for Internet training and web site development for business assistance centers and start-up businesses.
Leadership
The team formed strong bonds, but does not meet anymore. Working with a "consensus verses a vote system," the group decided to not have an ongoing project.
The consensus leadership style assured that everyone agreed on the team's mission and plan of action. This total agreement among the team members made it possible to complete the project.
